This year, the boozy addition to the Dole Whip has changed, trading coconut rum for a mango cream liqueur.
In addition to its various sweets and refreshments, Pineapple Promenade is the redemption center for the Garden Graze
Perhaps one of our (definitely Tom’s) favorite returning items is the spicy hot dog. You receive a full hot dog for your money, slathered in pineapple chutney and crumbled plantain chips. The hot dog delivers on flavor and spice. Each bite has a pop against the perfectly cooked exterior leading to a wonderfully spicy interior. The chutney adds a cool pineapple flavor and the chips add a nice crunch. It’s a filling dish and best shared if you plan on enjoying the rest the festival has to offer.
Pineapple Fanta fills the bottom of this cup. The pineapple Dole Whip mixed with the soda works very well and surprisingly isn’t overpowering. The only problem you’re going to run into with Flower & Garden is A) the portion of Dole Whip and B) how icy it comes out, to the point of almost being flavorless. Typically the version at Magic Kingdom is very light and airy, this comes out stiff and dense. It’s still the only place to get the soft serve in Epcot, so if you feel the price is worth saving a trip to Polynesian Village or Magic Kingdom…
A slush so iconic they had to make Minnie ears to match them. We can proudly say that the admiration is much deserved. The Violet Lemonade slush is sweet, refreshing, and takes a nice picture.
This was quite refreshing. It tasted too strongly like pineapple and the mango liqueur was only at the very very bottom.
It was still good, but we got more of a pineapple taste than we did the liqueur.
From 3 Daughers Brewing: “Bavarian summers meet tropical haze in our fruit-forward hefeweizen. With notes of papaya, pineapple and banana, clove, mango and toasted coconut, every sip of this juicy wheat ale sends you straight to the tropics.”
From Wicked Weed Brewing: “Fresh pressed is a medium-bodied wheat ale that is hazy straw colored in nature. It is beautifully balanced with juicy and tropical fruit flavors. It’s brewed with mango, pineapple, and guava.”
Point Brewery describes this beer as a “fruit-infused hazy IPA with colorful pineapple, sweet raspberry, and a little lactose for a milkshake-y mouthfeel. It’s boozy breakfast for the crafty kid in you.”
From Walter P. on Untappd: “Tastes like flowers. A little tart from the lemonade, but light and easy drinking.”
From Florida Orange Groves Winery: “Our sparkling Pineapple wine offers you and your palate a crisp and refreshing taste of Florida in a bottle. Made from 100% pineapple juice you won’t need to imagine hints of flavors or finishing notes.”
