The Whiskee Straw Combines Whisking And Drinking

We’ve all been there. You’re making a mocha or pouring some oat milk into your iced coffee and the damn thing just won’t mix. You stir and you stir but that regular ole straw just doesn’t pass muster and a mixing tool. [Cue video of someone violently and haphazardly stirring a drink before spilling it everywhere and over-exaggerating a smack to the forehead in disbelief.] And getting out a tiny whisk just creates more dishes. If only there was a single tool that both whisks and sucks.

Well good news because there is. Introducing the Whiskee Straw, a combination whisk and straw that allows you to whip and sip, sip and whip to your heart’s content all with a single utensil.

Now, you may be thinking, “doesn’t a straw already do a pretty good job of mixing drinks as is?” Pretty good? Sure, but any baker worth their salt will herald the blending power of the almighty whisk. Have you ever seen Paul Hollywood mixing his dry ingredients with a straw? No, you haven’t, and that’s because Hollywood is a whisk man. And why shouldn’t our drinks demand the same uniformity that our flour and sugar combinations do?

Enter the Whiskee Straw, a “first-of-its-kind straw,” per the company’s website, that can “easily and efficiently mix all types of beverages.” The design is reminiscent of a bombilla, a reusable straw with a filter attached used across Central and South America for yerba mate. But instead of a filter, it’s a whisk.

And it’s not just for coffee. You can mix just about anything with the Whiskee Straw. “Iced coffee, protein shakes, energy packets, tea mixes, mixed drinks, chocolate milk, smoothies, lemonade,” as long as it’s being put into liquid, the Whiskee Straw can whisk it.

I don’t think it is at all an exaggeration to say that the Whiskee Straw is the greatest straw-based coffee invention since the Bripe. And it can be yours for $14-18, depending on if you want the 16 or 24oz option. The travel bag is sold separately for $22, but it’s definitely worth it to not damage your straw on the go. For more information or to purchase your own drinkable multi-tool, visit Whiskee Straw’s official website.
